You can find us up on the second floor at Mill Officer Colony, right there on Ashram Road. It’s a busy spot in Ahmedabad, especially being right across from the Times of India building. We’ve got the machine tools business running from here, and the stairs up to the office definitely keep us active. Being in Gujarat, the heat gets pretty intense in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy with the paperwork and the clients. Yo-Tana Machine Tools is basically just a group of us trying to make sure the right machines get to the right places. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at technical drawings. Sometimes the traffic on Ashram Road is so loud you can barely hear yourself think, but you get used to it after a few years. We don’t have any fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly desks, some samples, and a lot of coffee cups scattered around. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still here in the same old building. People come by for meetings and we just talk shop. It’s straightforward work. No one here is trying to be something they aren't. We just know our tools and we know the local market. If you are ever near Mill Officer Colony, you’ll probably see our sign hanging out there near the entrance, even if it looks a bit faded now.
