Shri Devji Ladhabhai Patel

The office is tucked away in the Capital Commercial Center on Ashram Road. If you know the Sanyas Ashram, we are right near there. It’s a busy part of town and finding parking is always a headache in the mornings. Shri Devji Ladhabhai Patel has been operating out of the Mitsu Indo Electronics space for a while now. The building is older, so the elevators are a bit slow, but the location is central for everyone. Inside, it’s mostly papers and old files stacked on the shelves. We have a couple of old fans that make a lot of noise, but they keep the air moving. My uncle started this work a long time ago. Now we just carry it on. Most of the day is spent on the phone or writing down notes in the ledger. It’s nothing like those modern offices you see in the new parts of the city. We keep it basic. Sometimes customers come in just to chat and have tea. We don't mind. It’s nice to have a break from the routine. Around lunch, we usually go to the small stall downstairs. Ashram Road is always crowded, but we’ve gotten used to the constant horn honking. It’s just how things go here. We keep the doors open and just do what needs to be done every day. There is always someone in the office from ten until six.
