Our office, Navbharat Seeds Pvt. Ltd., is in the Vasukanan building on Ashram Road. We are right across from Gujarat Vidyapeeth and near the Lotus Flats. It’s a very well-known part of Ahmedabad. Ashram Road is always packed with cars and people. We have been in this location for quite a while. Inside the office, it’s mostly stacks of paper and sample bags. It’s not a very modern-looking place. We have old wooden desks and chairs that have been here since we started. It’s a busy atmosphere. People come in and out to talk about seeds and the upcoming seasons. We spend a lot of time on the phone with farmers and suppliers. The view out the window is just the busy street. Sometimes we go over to the Vidyapeeth area just to get a bit of a walk. It gets very hot in Ahmedabad, so we keep the fans going. We don’t have any marketing people or fancy displays. We just have our seed catalogs and our records. It’s a straightforward business. We keep track of what’s growing and where. Our team is small and we’ve all worked together for years. It feels like a second home to us. We just keep doing what we do every day. The building itself is a bit older, which we like. It has character.
