You’ll find us at A-314 in the Supath II building on Ashram Road. It’s a very busy part of Ahmedabad, especially with the Vadaj bus stop and stand right across from us. There is always a crowd outside and the sound of buses honking. Gujarat Earth Minerals Private Limited isn't a very large office, but it's packed with samples of different rocks and minerals we handle. They sit on the shelves and sometimes get in the way of the computers. The windows look out over the street, which is good for people-watching when we take a break. It gets quite dusty because of all the samples, so we’re always wiping down the desks. Most of us have worked here long enough to know the smell of the place—a mix of earth and old paper. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking through logs and ledgers. It’s a pretty quiet office otherwise. We don't have any big meetings or corporate speeches. We just handle the mineral business as it comes in. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s a simple setup, and it works for us. We keep a big jug of water in the corner and everyone helps themselves. It isn't a place for showing off, just for getting through the day's tasks and making sure everything is recorded properly in the books.
