We are set up right beside the old RBI Building. It is a well-known landmark, so people usually find us without too much trouble. The office is a bit old-fashioned, but it suits us. We handle the urban development side of things, which means lots of maps and technical drawings are usually spread out over every available surface. It gets a little cramped when the whole team is in, but we like it that way. Most of the day is spent coordinating with contractors or checking on legal documents. We don't have a lot of polished furniture or anything like that. It’s a workspace for people who don't mind getting their hands dirty. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud, but you get used to it. We take our work seriously but we don't feel the need to act like we are in a high-rise downtown. We are just a local team doing our best to get these projects moving. There are always obstacles in construction, from late deliveries to rain, but we just deal with them as they come. It’s steady work. We’ve been at this for years and we know the rhythm of the city. We don't promise anything impossible. We just show up and handle the tasks on our desks. It is a straightforward business and we try to keep our feet on the ground while we build.
