Ashi Dental Clinic

We have been running our dental clinic here on Relief Road for a long time now. We are located right above the Bank of India on the first floor. If you know the Gundi Pole area, you know how busy it gets every single day. Every morning, the street is full of people rushing to work or heading to the bank below us. The stairs can be a bit of a climb if you are not used to them, but once you get up here, it is a bit quieter than the street level. We have got the usual dental chairs and some old magazines in the corner for anyone waiting their turn. The fans are always spinning because this Ahmedabad heat is no joke, especially in the late afternoons when the sun hits the front of the building. Sometimes the bank customers come up here by mistake looking for the manager, and we have to point them back down the stairs. It is a simple place. We spend our days looking at teeth and chatting with the locals who have lived in this part of Ahmedabad for generations. There is no fancy lobby or uniforms here. We just show up, open the shutters, and start our work. You can hear the honking from Relief Road all day long, but it is just part of the background now. We know the tea stall guy nearby pretty well and usually have a cup between patients. It is just a normal clinic for the neighborhood.
