We work out of an office at A-1002 in the building near Shivranjini Cross Road. It’s right across from Shital Varsha Mall in the Satellite part of town. Being on the tenth floor gives us a pretty good view of the Ahmedabad skyline, though we’re usually too busy looking at our computer screens or drawing boards to notice much. Arcmax Architects and Planners is basically where we spend most of our waking hours. The office is a bit of a mix of old folders, rolls of paper, and computers that sometimes run a bit slow when we’re working on big files. It’s not the quietest place because the traffic from the crossroad below always manages to drift up, but it’s a good spot for us. We chose this location because it’s central and easy for people to find. We don't really do the whole corporate pitch thing. Usually, when someone comes in, we just sit down and start talking about what they need and what can realistically be done. There’s always a lot of back and forth, and the coffee machine gets a lot of use throughout the day. We’ve been here for a good while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Despite the changes, we just keep doing our planning and architectural work the same way we always have, focusing on the details and trying to keep things practical.
