Ankur Textile

You can find Ankur Textile right on Gurudwara Road. We are across from M. G School, which makes it easy to explain where we are to people who aren't from this part of town. It is near the New G- Ward area. We deal with fabrics and cloth mostly. It is a family-run kind of thing, so it is not always perfectly organized, but we know where everything is. The shop stays pretty packed with stock most of the time. Sometimes the road outside gets a bit crowded with traffic, especially when school lets out in the afternoon. We have been here for a good amount of time now. We just open up in the morning and see who comes in. It is a lot of manual work, like lifting heavy rolls and measuring things out for customers. We don't have a big corporate office or anything, just the shop floor. People come to us because they know we have been around for years. We try to keep things simple. If someone needs a specific type of textile, we check the back and see what is available. It is a bit dusty sometimes because of all the fabric fibers, but that is just how it is. We aren’t trying to be the biggest place around, just a steady one. We like the neighborhood and the people who stop by to chat. It feels like home to us. Most of our regulars have been coming here for a long time.
