Amee Steel Industries, Ahmedabad

Amee Steel Industries is located in Bapunagar, right near the Virat Nagar Crossroad in Ahmedabad. We are situated opposite the New Corporation Building, just off National Highway No. 8. Being so close to the highway makes it easy for the big trucks to come in and out with the steel loads. It’s a noisy environment with the sound of metal moving and machines working most of the day. The air always has that smell of iron and grease, which is something we are all used to by now. Our facility isn't pretty to look at, but it’s where we get the hard work done. We have a lot of heavy equipment for processing the steel and a yard where we keep the raw materials. The sun gets really hot here in Ahmedabad, so the warehouse can get quite warm in the summer months. We just keep the big doors open to catch whatever breeze we can. The workers here have been with us for a long time and they know exactly how to handle the material safely. We don't bother with much office decor; we mostly have some basic desks and a fridge for cold water. Everything is focused on the steel and getting the orders loaded onto the trucks on time. It’s a tough business, but we’ve been at it for years and know our way around a steel yard. We usually finish up when the last truck leaves the gate.
