Our place is at Plot No. 5303 in Phase-4 of the GIDC Estate in Vatva. Being in a GIDC area means we are surrounded by all kinds of factories and workshops. Amee Power Drives has its roots right here in this industrial landscape. It’s a gritty area, lots of iron and heavy machinery around. Our unit is basically a large shed where we do all our power drive work. It gets loud when the neighbors are running their plants, but that’s the sound of the estate. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other business owners on this block. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning in every room. Most of the time, we’re out on the floor getting our hands dirty. It’s practical, honest work. We don't use polished language because that’s not who we are. We are just a group of people who understand how these machines work. We keep our tools organized and our schedules as tight as we can. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten quickly so we can get back to it. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do, and we’ve been doing it for years in Vatva. The heat can be tough in the summer, but we keep the fans blowing. Usually, by five o'clock, the dust has settled a bit and we start cleaning up the station for the next morning.
