Ambica Hardware Store (Naranpura)

If you are near Naranpura Cross Road, you can find us at 3 Ranjan Society Part II. We are right opposite Pathik Society. It’s a residential area mostly, so we get a lot of neighbors coming in. Our hardware store is filled with all the usual things—nails, hammers, pipes, and buckets. It’s the kind of place where you come when a tap is leaking or you need a new lock for your front gate. We don't have everything displayed perfectly on shelves like a supermarket. It’s a bit more cluttered than that, but we know where everything is kept. If you ask for a specific screw, we can usually find it in one of the many drawers we have. We’ve been part of Naranpura for a long time. People around here know us by name. We don't do much marketing because word of mouth works better for a hardware shop. You treat people right and they come back next time their door hinge squeaks. The store isn't very large, so we have to use every inch of wall space to hang things. It can get a bit dusty with all the bags of cement or plaster we sometimes have near the back. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and wait for the first customer. It’s a steady life and we like being part of the neighborhood.
