We are tucked away in Shankar Estate, right near Ctm Cross Road. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of machinery humming or trucks idling nearby waiting to load. Reva Bhai Estate is just around the corner, which makes it easy to explain where we are when people call for directions. We work out of 142/A. It’s a basic workshop-style setup with high walls. We deal with mechanical and electrical bits, so the floors usually have a bit of grease on them and tools are scattered on the workbenches. We don’t have a fancy front office with a receptionist or a coffee machine for guests. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just answers the questions. It gets very hot in the afternoons, especially under the tin roofs we have in this estate. We’ve got a few machines that we run most of the day. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we like the routine of it. We just fix things and put parts together for our customers. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to go out by morning, and we just order some local food and keep working. It’s been our spot for a good while. The neighbors are mostly doing the same kind of work, so we borrow tools or help each other out sometimes. It’s a simple operation and we aren't trying to be the biggest.
