Alankar Steel Furniture/Alankar Std Pco

We’ve been here at Relief Road for quite a while now. Near Jyotisangh, if you know the spot in Patharkuva. It’s a busy area and we keep ourselves busy too. Mostly we do steel furniture, like cupboards and racks and stuff for houses or small offices nearby. People come in to look at the metal cupboards we keep in the shop. We also have the Alankar Std Pco side of things. It’s not as busy as it used to be with everyone having mobiles now, but the phone booth is still there for whoever needs it. Sometimes people just stop by to use the phone while they're out shopping. The shop isn't fancy or anything, just a regular place with a lot of heavy metal items around. We try to keep things simple. If someone needs a sturdy chair or a locker, they come talk to us. It’s mostly just us working through the day, handling the furniture and watching the street. Relief Road gets very crowded, especially in the afternoons. We see a lot of people passing by our door every single day. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. Some days are quiet, others we are moving heavy steel desks around and it gets noisy. It’s just how it goes here. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure things are where they should be. It’s a basic shop for basic needs.
