Our office is in Madhusudan House, right across from the Navrangpura Telephone Exchange in Ellisbridge. Ahmedabad Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. has been operating from this building for a long time. It’s a central part of Ahmedabad, so it’s easy for people to find us. The building itself is an older one, with those wide staircases and heavy doors. Inside, our office is filled with files, sample bottles, and the smell of old paper. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and checking on shipments. It’s a lot of paperwork because dealing with chemicals requires a lot of tracking. We aren't a factory ourselves; this is more of the administrative and trading side of things. There are four or five of us in the office most days. We usually have our lunch at our desks while we talk about the news or the cricket scores. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, but we stay busy with the logistics. Navrangpura is always crowded, so finding parking can be a headache, but we like being in the heart of the city. We don't have a big fancy lobby with a receptionist. You just walk in and one of us will look up from our computer to help you. It’s just how we’ve always done things. We know our regular clients by their voices on the phone. It’s a steady, predictable life here in the office, and we like it that way.
