Aarti Furniture (Thakkarbapa Nagar)

Our workshop and shop, Aarti Furniture, is located at 18 Mahesh Tenament in Thakkarbapa Nagar. We are right across from Chamak Chuna and very close to the Holy Child School. If you’re in the neighborhood, you probably hear us working throughout the day. We’ve got wood and tools all over the place because we’re always right in the middle of making something. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s a real place where things get built. We have been in Thakkarbapa Nagar for a long time and we know most of the families who live in the tenements around us. Being near the school means there’s always a lot of activity in the mornings and afternoons. We just focus on making solid furniture that people can actually use in their homes. We don't use high-pressure sales or anything like that. Usually, people just walk in, see what we’re working on, and ask if we can make something similar for them. We use our hands and our experience to get the job done right. The space is a bit cramped sometimes with all the half-finished chairs and tables, but that’s just the way a furniture shop should be. We like being part of this local community and providing something useful to our neighbors. It’s just us, working away every day at the shop.
