Our place is right at Shreenath Transport Nagar. It’s a busy spot because we are right opposite the Bharat Petrol Pump on the highway. Being on N H No 8 means there are always big trucks passing by. The dust from the Narol Aslali Road gets everywhere, but that’s normal for this area. We handle a lot of loading and unloading every single day. The sun gets really hot here in the afternoons. We usually take a break when it's at its peak. It's a lot of manual labor, picking up heavy crates and organizing the warehouse space. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We just run a basic moving business. Most of the guys here are local and we know the routes around Ahmedabad quite well. We spend a lot of time checking the tires on the trucks and making sure we have enough rope and padding for the furniture. People drop by the office to talk about their shifting needs. It's a lot of talking on the phone too. We just try to keep things moving. It’s a lot of sweat and hard work but it keeps the lights on. We've seen this part of Narol change over the years. More warehouses and more traffic. But the work stays the same. Just packing things up and sending them on their way. We keep the registers updated by hand mostly. It's a long day but we like the work.
