Muthiyan Castings

Our small unit is located over at B-43 in the MIDC area. It is a pretty standard industrial setup and we do not put much effort into making it look flashy. Most days for us start early with the gates opening around 8 am. The shop floor is the heart of the place and that is where everything happens, from prepping the sand molds to waiting for the metal to cool down. We have a small team of workers here. It is mostly just making sure the day-to-day work gets finished without any big problems. The air in the MIDC estate is always thick with the smell of smoke and oil, and we are right in the middle of it all. We spend a lot of our time looking at metal specifications and making sure the temperature of the melt is just right. Sometimes the work goes slow when we are waiting for materials, and other times we are rushing around to meet a delivery deadline. It is just how the casting business goes. We have been in this same spot for quite some time now. You will usually see a couple of us out front during the tea breaks in the afternoon. We do not spend money on advertising because the work usually comes to us through word of mouth from other units in the estate. There is a lot of heavy machinery and it requires a bit of muscle to move things. We just keep our heads down.
