Mahaganapati Dairy Farm

Mahaganapati Dairy Farm is located out on the road toward Shrigonda. If you're driving down the Shirur Shrigonda Road, you’ll find us at Gate No. 169 in Hingani Dumala. It’s a working farm, so don’t expect anything too polished or clean. We have our cows and we spend the whole day looking after them. The day starts really early, way before the sun is up, because the milking has to happen. It’s hard work and your hands get tired, but that’s just how it is with livestock. We’ve got the sheds and the grazing area right here in Tal Shrigonda. The air is different out here, a bit dusty but quiet. We sell the milk and handle the day-to-day stuff that comes with running a dairy. Sometimes a cow gets sick or the machinery acts up, and that’s a whole day gone right there. My father used to say the cows come first, so that’s how we do it. The road out here, Shirur Shrigonda Road, can be a bit rough in the monsoon, but we’re used to it. We aren't a big corporate company with fancy logos. We’re just local people doing the work that needs doing. People around Hingani Dumala know us well enough. We just keep to ourselves mostly and focus on the farm and the animals. It's a busy life but it's what we know.
