Chaitanya Hatcheries Private Limited is set up at G-105 on Saiban Road in the MIDC area. Running a hatchery means we have a very specific schedule that revolves around the birds, so there is almost always someone on-site at any hour of the day or night. The building itself is a functional space designed more for the hatchery needs than for human comfort. It can get quite humid inside because of the equipment, and there is a constant chirping sound that becomes the background noise for everything we do. Saiban Road is a busy enough street, but our plot is tucked away enough that we don't get too much of the road dust inside. The office part is just a small room with a couple of desks and a lot of logbooks where we track everything. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with fancy titles; we all just pitch in where we are needed. If the eggs need moving or the equipment needs a quick fix, we just handle it. It is a messy, loud, and very busy way to make a living, but it is what we know. People who visit us are usually other folks in the poultry business, so they aren't looking for anything polished. They just want to see how the batches are doing and if things are running on time.
