VISHNUJI WEAVING INDUSTRIES PRIVATE LIMITED

Our setup is on the first floor at Flat B/101 in the Arshiwad Complex. It’s on Bhatar Road, not far from Umabhavan. If you know the weaving industry in Surat, you know this area is always moving. We have a lot of samples of different fabrics lying around the office. It can get a bit messy with all the threads and swatches everywhere. We spend our time checking on the production and making sure the looms are doing what they are supposed to. It’s a lot of manual checking. We don't use much software for this, just our eyes and years of knowing what good fabric should look like. The office has some old chairs that we probably should have replaced years ago, but they still work. We aren't interested in being fancy. We just want the weaving to be consistent. Some days the humidity makes everything a bit difficult, but we are used to the Surat weather by now. We’ve been in the Arshiwad Complex for a good while. Most people who work nearby know us. We usually get our tea from the stall downstairs and talk about the current price of yarn. It’s a simple life. We don’t have any big meetings or corporate presentations. We just look at the orders and make sure the trucks are loaded correctly. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday, even when the power goes out sometimes.
