You can find us up on the second floor of the Gautam Textile Market. We have shops 2021 and 2022. It’s usually pretty crowded in the market, especially when new stock arrives. We spend our time dealing with weaves and different types of cloth. The space isn't huge, but we make it work by stacking the rolls high. If you walk down the hallway on the second floor, you’ll likely hear us talking to customers or moving things around. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who know the textile trade. It gets quite hot in the summer months inside the market. We mostly just keep our heads down and handle the daily tasks. Sometimes the elevators are slow, so we end up using the stairs a lot. The market has its own rhythm and we’ve become a part of it over the years. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just selling weaves and keeping the shop open. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy bundles and checking the thickness of the threads. Most days start early and end when the market closes down. We know our neighbors well and everyone helps each other out when they can. It’s just how things go here. We don't need much more than our workspace and a steady flow of work to stay satisfied. It is a bit loud but we're used to it.
