The traffic on the main road can be a bit much during rush hour, so we usually try to get to the office early. Ghatlodia has changed quite a bit since we first set up shop here. There used to be fewer buildings and more open space. Now, it is all packed in. We do not mind it though, as it keeps us close to the action. Our desks are usually covered in site reports and tea stains. We are not the type to have a clean, empty office because that means we are not doing anything. We do a lot of the estimating ourselves, sitting there with calculators and pens for hours. It is not high-tech, but it works for us. We have known the guys at the nearby shops for years. Sometimes we just sit outside and talk about how the city is growing. It is a practical way to live and work. We do not have a big mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just want to finish the work we started and move on to the next one. It is about being reliable more than being fancy. If a project comes in, we look at it and see if we can do it. Most of our tools are kept elsewhere, so the office is just for the planning and the tea. It is a straightforward business. We just try to get the day's tasks done.
