Starting a day at Millenium Textile Market in Umarwada is always something. Our spot is up on the second floor, specifically shops F 4321 and 4322. It takes a bit of walking to get up there when the elevators are busy with all the bundles being moved around. We have been here at Shreevs Texco Llp for a while now, just handling the regular textile business that comes through this part of Surat. The hallways get crowded early with people looking for different fabrics and traders shouting out orders. It’s not a quiet place, but that’s just how market life is. We spend most of our time checking stocks and making sure things are packed right for whoever bought them. The light in the shop isn't always the brightest, but we know where everything is kept. Sometimes the tea man comes by and that’s a nice break from the noise. Umarwada is known for this kind of work, and being right in the middle of it means we stay busy. We don’t do much fancy stuff, just keep the shop open and deal with the fabrics that come in and go out. It’s a lot of lifting and moving rolls of cloth, which gets tiring by the afternoon. Still, it’s the work we know. If you are walking around Millenium Market, you’ll see plenty of shops like ours, but we’re the ones on the second floor trying to keep things organized.
