Being on the seventh floor gives us a pretty decent view of the city, especially with all the new buildings going up nearby. Mota Varachha has become so busy lately, and the traffic on Abrama Road can be a real headache during the rush hours. We spend our days surrounded by fabric samples and order forms. The office is usually a bit of a mess with swatches of different materials lying around, but we know where everything is. It’s a lively place because there’s always something happening in the Surat fabric trade. We start our mornings quite early, usually with some tea and a discussion about the latest prices and trends. Since we are in a high-rise, we rely a lot on the elevators, which can be slow when everyone is coming in at the same time. It’s a very hands-on business, and we are constantly talking to suppliers and checking the quality of the goods ourselves. We aren't trying to be some polished corporate entity; we’re just people who know fabrics and want to keep the business running smoothly from our seventh-floor spot. It’s noisy, dusty, and fast-paced, but that’s just how things go in this city.
