Our place, Roop Texfab Private Limited, is located at 235/A on the first floor of the New Cloth Market. If you know Ahmedabad, you know that’s just outside Raipur Gate. It’s a very crowded and lively area, especially during the peak hours when everyone is buying and selling cloth. We’ve been in this market for a long time. The office is usually filled with samples of different fabrics and the smell of new textiles. It’s not the quietest place to work, but the energy of the market keeps us going. We spend most of our day dealing with wholesalers and making sure our stock is moving. There’s a lot of back and forth, and sometimes the stairs to the first floor feel a bit steep after a long day. We don't have a big corporate structure; it’s just a handful of us making sure the business runs smoothly. The market has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of it. We know most of the other shop owners around here. It’s a lot of hard work, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing the bundles of cloth go out to customers. We aren't into big marketing talk. We just show the material and let people decide. It's how things have always been done in Raipur Gate for decades. We often grab lunch from the stalls nearby and talk about how the market is changing with the times. It's a simple life for us and we like it that way.
