Our company is located out in Palsana at the Narayan Industrial Estate. We occupy plots 159 and 160 on the ground floor. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by a lot of other manufacturing units, so there is always the sound of machinery and trucks in the background. It is a bit of a drive from the main Surat city, but it works for what we do at Raghaw Fabtex. The space is mostly filled with fabric and the equipment we need for our daily tasks. It is a very hands-on environment. We don't have fancy office chairs or air conditioning in every corner. Usually, we are just walking around the floor, checking on the stock and making sure the orders are being processed correctly. It’s a bit dusty and loud, but that is the reality of working in an industrial area. We don't have a team of people to answer phones with scripted lines; we just pick up and talk like normal people. Most of our day is spent dealing with the actual fabric and making sure the count is right before things leave the gate. We are just a group of workers and owners trying to earn a living by doing something we know well. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we do every day.
