Nishiv Textiles Foundation

Nishiv Textiles Foundation is based at 91/3, Phase 1 in the Vatva GIDC area. We are tucked away right behind the Bank Of India. If you know Vatva, you know it is a big industrial zone with lots of factories and workshops all over the place. Our spot in Phase 1 is pretty easy to find once you locate the bank building. The place we work in is a bit older, with some wear and tear on the walls, but it serves us well for what we need. It is usually pretty noisy around here because of the other units in the GIDC, with machines running and trucks loading up at all hours. We have a simple setup inside with some basic furniture and our work materials spread out on the tables. It is a place where we focus on the tasks at hand. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but that is just part of being in an industrial area like this. We usually have our tea breaks standing outside by the gate to get some air. The air often smells like industry and hard work. We do not have any big posters or fancy lights in the office. It is just 91/3, a functional space for Nishiv Textiles Foundation to operate from. We come in early and leave late most days, just keeping up with the schedule. It is a very practical environment, and we like it that way because it keeps us grounded.
