Mokshdeep Fabrics Private Limited is based out of Shukla Estate. Our unit is 328/13 on Dudheshwar Road. If you know the Shahibaug area, you know it gets very crowded during the day. This estate has been around for quite a while. It’s got that old Ahmedabad feel to it. The walls are a bit stained and the stairs are narrow, but it works for what we need. We handle fabrics here. Mostly we receive shipments, check them over, and then send them out to the shops or other manufacturers. It’s a lot of lifting and moving boxes. The heat in the summer can be tough because the ventilation isn’t the best in these older buildings. We just open the windows and keep moving. We are not a big corporate entity. It’s just a group of us who have been in the fabric trade for years. My desk is tucked in the corner with piles of samples. We don’t spend much on decorating. The money goes back into the stock. Dudheshwar Road is always loud with rickshaws and motorbikes, so there is always noise coming in from outside. We have our regulars who stop by to check on their orders. It’s a practical setup. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just provide the fabrics and keep our accounts straight at Shukla Estate. It is what it is, and we like the routine we have built here.
