Maakrupa Weaves Private Limited is based in the Katargam area, which everyone knows is the heart of the weaving industry in Surat. We are located on Fulpada Road, specifically on the first floor of Plot No. 585 in the New GIDC industrial estate. Being in the GIDC means we are surrounded by the constant hum of machinery and the smell of industrial work. It is not a quiet place, but it’s where the real work happens. Our floor is mostly taken up by the looms and the space needed to move the finished rolls of fabric. We focus on the weaving side of things. The office part is just a small corner where we keep the ledger books and handle the phone calls. It gets quite hot in the summer, especially with all the machines running, but that is just part of the job in Katargam. We have been operating out of this plot for some time now. People come by to drop off yarn or pick up finished goods all day long. There is no corporate polish here, just a lot of dust, thread, and hard work. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. We are just weavers making sure the cloth we produce is up to the standard we’ve always kept. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in this city. Every day we just walk in, start the looms, and get to it.
