Jasmin Texfab Private Limited sits on plots 117 to 119 in the Sonal Industrial Estate. We are back behind Chikuwadi on GHB Road. It’s a busy part of Pandesara, and there is always a truck or a tempo blocking the way somewhere. We’ve got three plots joined together, so there is a decent amount of space for the work we do. It’s loud inside most of the time because of the machinery, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We started small and just stayed in this area because it’s where all the textile action is in Surat. There’s a lot of dust and the heat can be tough in the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and get on with it. Our staff mostly lives nearby, so we’ve become a bit of a local fixture. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor with grease on our hands or checking the fabric rolls. Things break, we fix them, and we keep moving. It’s not always easy, but it’s what we know. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first arrived, but our daily rhythm stays pretty much the same. We show up, do the work, and go home to our families. That’s the reality of running a factory here. We just try to keep things moving as best as we can.
