Working out of a bungalow like Upvan is nice because it doesn't feel like a cold, corporate office. There is a bit of a driveway and some trees around that give a little shade during the hot Gujarat summers. The Thaltej-Silaj Road is getting busier by the month, so there is always a bit of noise from the cars and bikes rushing past. Inside, it’s just us doing our thing. We have rooms turned into office spaces and the kitchen is where we make our tea. It’s a very local way of doing business. We aren't in a high-rise with a fancy glass front; we are just in a house that we’ve turned into our base of operations. Sometimes the delivery guys have a hard time finding which bungalow is number 6, but once they see the sign, they get it. It’s a comfortable place to spend the day, and it feels like a real part of the neighborhood rather than just a commercial unit. We are just here getting through the day.
