Our office is up on the 4th floor of the Yash Arian building, room 432. We’re located near Swami Vivekanand Chowk in the Memnagar area, specifically the New Gurukul part. It’s a pretty active neighborhood with a lot of shops and other businesses around. We focus on overseas trade, which basically means we spend half our lives on the computer or the phone dealing with people in different time zones. The building itself is usually busy with people coming and going from the various offices. Our space is functional and mostly filled with papers, maps, and coffee mugs. We don't really go for a corporate look; it's more about having a place where we can actually get things done without being interrupted too much. Being on the fourth floor gives us a bit of a view of the chowk, which is nice when you need a break from looking at a screen. Sometimes the traffic at the intersection gets really loud, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of honking over the years. We started this because we knew a bit about how to move goods across borders, and we've just kept at it since then. There are only a few of us here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from filing to talking to shipping agents. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s a good way to stay busy. We like this part of Ahmedabad because everything we need is close by.
