Gnt Constructions Private Limited is tucked into Shop No 29 on the ground floor of Shukan Mall. Being right near the Visat Petrol Pump in Sabarmati means there is always a lot of movement outside our windows. People are constantly pulling in for fuel or heading into the mall for their daily shopping. It is a lively spot to have an office. Inside, things are a bit more quiet, though we always have the radio playing low in the background. The space is a bit cramped because we have so many files and rolls of drawings stacked on the shelves along the walls. Since we are on the ground floor, we get a lot of people just popping their heads in to ask for directions or see what we are doing. The floor is that typical mall tile that always looks a bit scuffed from everyone walking in with work boots. We spend a lot of time coordinating with different crews and suppliers from this little shop. Ahmedabad summers are no joke, so we are lucky to be inside the mall where it stays a bit cooler than being out on the hot street. It’s not a huge office with a fancy lobby, just a practical place for us to get our work done and manage the daily tasks. We have been here long enough that the neighboring shopkeepers are all friends now, and we often share tea together.
