Girikunj Apparels Llp is tucked away on the second floor of Tejendra Arcade. Our shop is H06. If you know the Rakhial area, we are right near the Ganjifarak Mill Compound and the Rakhial Char Rasta. It’s a very industrial part of Ahmedabad, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the factories around us. The building itself is quite busy with other textile and apparel folks. Manoj Kumar Chandak and Jyoti Devi help run things here. It’s a family-style setup in many ways. We spend our time sorting through apparel orders and making sure everything is ready for delivery. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't familiar with the mill compounds, but it’s where the real work happens. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Instead, we have shelves and stacks of clothing. The work is steady and sometimes a bit repetitive, but we don't mind. Rakhial has its own vibe, very different from the newer parts of the city. It’s all about the trade here. We keep our overhead low and focus on the quality of the garments we handle. No one here wears a suit to work. We are usually in casual clothes, ready to move boxes or check stock. It is a practical way to live. We’ve been part of this community for a while now and we know how the local trade works. It's just us doing what we know best in our shop.
