We are based over in the Thaltej area of Ahmedabad, specifically in the Ora Bela flats. It’s a good location right behind the Heritage Bungalows and just across from Malav Talav. This part of town is a bit more relaxed than the old city centers. Ghaneri Creation is the place where we work on our designs and figure out our fabric collections. It’s a small group of us here and the office is usually filled with samples and color charts. We don't have a huge space, but it’s enough for what we need to do. We spend a lot of time just looking at different patterns and trying to see what feels right for the season. It’s a creative job, but it involves a lot of trial and error. We have some nice windows that look out towards the lake, which helps when we've been staring at the same design for too long. There isn't a formal vibe here; we mostly just wear casual clothes and drink a lot of coffee while we debate over shades of blue or red. We aren't some big-name fashion brand. We are just regular people who enjoy working with textiles and trying to make something nice. Sometimes a design doesn't work out and we have to start all over again, which can be frustrating. But we just take a break and get back to it the next morning. It’s a decent way to spend our days. Our address is easy to find if you are familiar with the local landmarks.
