Fab Vogue Studio Private Limited

Fab Vogue Studio is over in the Madhav Baug Compound on Vastadevdi Road. We are on the first floor of building CS-2664/4. This is in Katargam, Surat. The compound is always full of activity since there are so many small businesses tucked away here. We’ve been here for a while now. The office is pretty simple. We have a few desks and some racks for the clothes we design. It’s not a big studio like you see on TV. It’s just a place where we work. We spend a lot of time looking at patterns and talking about different styles. Sometimes the floor is covered in threads and scraps of paper. We don't really worry about making it look like a showroom. We just need it to be a place where we can think and get things made. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, but we don't mind. We have a couple of windows that look out into the compound, so we can see who’s coming and going. Most of us have been working together for years. We don't really have a boss who tells us what to do every minute. We just know our jobs and get on with them. We grab food from the stalls nearby at lunchtime. It’s a regular routine that we’ve gotten used to over the years. We just want to make decent clothes and keep the business running. That is all we do.
