Ekaadhiken Foundation

Ekaadhiken Foundation operates out of Amardeep Apartment in the Maninagar area. Specifically, we are at unit number 7 in the 2/A Shri Shrutikunj H Society. One thing you notice right away about our location is that we are right opposite the railway crossing. This means we hear the trains going by all day long, which took some getting used to when we first moved in. The society is a nice, older residential area that feels very lived-in and comfortable. Our office is a converted apartment space, so it has a very domestic feel to it. We have one room for our files and another where we set up our computers and a large work table. There are usually a few bicycles parked out front near the entrance. We spend our time working on various community foundation tasks and coordinating with people in the neighborhood. It is not a very formal place, and neighbors often poke their heads in to say hello. Sometimes the noise from the trains makes it hard to talk on the phone, so we just wait a minute for it to pass. The lighting inside is a bit dim, so we keep the windows open as much as possible to let in the sunlight. We have been here for a while and the routine stays pretty much the same. It is a good, practical spot for us to manage everything we need to do.
