We are located at 9 R.H. Sumeru Bunglows, which sits right across from the Rajsurya Bungalows on Satellite Road here in Ahmedabad. Dhrangadhra Industrial Developers Private Limited is the name on the door, though we don't have a big sign or anything. It’s a residential bungalow that we’ve converted into our workspace. It feels a bit strange sometimes to be talking about big industrial developments while sitting in a living room, but it works for us. The area along Satellite Road is always humming with activity. There’s a lot of traffic, but the Sumeru society is tucked away enough that it’s not too distracting. Inside, we have turned the bedrooms into offices and the main hall into a meeting area. There are stacks of blueprints and land documents on almost every flat surface. We don't have a professional cleaning crew or a fancy lobby; we just sweep the place ourselves and keep things moving. Most of our work involves a lot of back-and-forth on the phone and long meetings about land use and industrial planning. It’s a practical way to run a business without the overhead of a high-rise office. We like the fact that we can just step out into the society garden if we need a minute to think. It’s a quiet, productive spot in a very busy part of Ahmedabad, and it suits our style perfectly. We just keep doing what we do every day.
