Century Cotton Private Limited

Century Cotton Private Limited is our company, and we operate out of unit E-31 in the Sumel Business Park. This is in the Raipur area, tucked right behind the New Cloth Market. If you know Ahmedabad, you know how packed and hectic this part of town is. We deal with cotton, mostly raw materials and some fabrics. It’s a very traditional business. Our office is basically a room full of cotton samples and old wooden desks. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just get up and come to Raipur every morning to deal with the traders. The business park is always full of people shouting and moving goods, so it’s never quiet. We spend a lot of time on the phone negotiating prices because the cotton market changes almost every hour. It’s a bit stressful sometimes, but we’ve been doing it for so long that it feels normal now. We have a couple of guys who help with the loading and unloading. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult because you can’t let the cotton get damp, so we have to move fast. We aren't looking to become some global brand. We just want to keep our regular customers happy and make sure the quality of the cotton is decent. It’s just a regular life in the Ahmedabad textile market, nothing more and nothing less than that. There are no shortcuts in this kind of trade.
