Our workplace is situated at Shed No. 20 in Pelican Estate-2. This is over in the Kathwada GIDC area on Road No. 5. It is very much an industrial setting, nothing like a high-rise office building. BUKS TRADEX PRIVATE LIMITED has been running from this shed for a bit now. The area is filled with other sheds and small factories, so there is always the sound of machinery and trucks moving in and out of the estate. It can get quite dusty on Road No. 5, especially in the dry season, but that is just part of being in GIDC. Inside the shed, we have enough room for our equipment and a small corner for the administrative work. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it gets the job done. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights outside. Just the number 20 on the door. Most people who come here are delivery drivers or local contractors. We usually have the main door open for ventilation during the day. It’s a very hands-on environment. Our team knows the routine and we just stick to it. Kathwada is a long way from the city center, but it’s where all the real work happens for us. We drink our tea from the stall at the corner of the road and keep our heads down. It’s a simple setup for a straightforward business. We like the grit of the industrial zone.
