If you know Paldi Char Rasta, you know it’s one of the busiest spots in Ahmedabad. That’s where BETON DEVELOPERS LLP is located, specifically at 4142. We are right opposite the Panchmukhi Hanuman temple. You can hear the bells ringing during the morning and evening aarti, which is actually quite nice to listen to while we’re working. The traffic outside is loud, and there is always someone honking, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. Our office isn't anything special to look at. We have some desks, a few computers, and a lot of paper everywhere. We don't go in for fancy decorations or expensive rugs. Most of our day is spent talking to contractors or checking on site progress. Developing property in a crowded city like this is a lot of work, and it’s rarely as clean as the pictures make it look. We deal with mud, delays, and city paperwork all the time. It’s just the nature of the job. We are a small group and we prefer it that way. We don't have a corporate ladder or a bunch of managers. We just talk to each other across the room and get things sorted. It’s a regular job for us, and we try to do it right without making a lot of noise about it. Some days are longer than others, especially when a deadline is coming up fast. We just grab a chai and keep moving through the pile of work.
