Our business is based at 7, Devrat Estate. It’s a standard industrial estate setup. We work on illumination technology here. That means we spend a lot of time looking at circuit boards and LED chips. The workshop is the heart of the place. It’s got that specific smell of hot metal and plastic that you find in tech shops. We have benches lined up with tools and testing equipment. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but everything is where it needs to be for us to work. We aren't into big marketing displays. Usually, we're just hunched over a project trying to figure out why a driver isn't working or how to make a housing fit better. Devrat Estate is a practical location for us. We get our supplies in and send our finished lights out without much trouble. The team is a mix of people who like tinkering with things. We don't have a lot of meetings; we just get on with the tasks. It’s a lot of testing, re-testing, and then packing boxes. It's honest work in the lighting field. We’ve been at number 7 for a while, and it suits us fine. Sometimes the trucks blocking the alleyway make it hard to get in, but we’re used to it. We don't have a fancy lobby or a person to open the door. You just come in and find someone in a work shirt. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving between the testing station and the storage area. It’s a lot of physical work along with the technical stuff. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just have a list of things that need to be shipped by five o'clock. We like the technical side of things and getting the electronics to behave.
