Vikash General Store

So we have this small place called Vikash General Store over in Chipitola here in Agra. It’s nothing fancy, just a regular shop where people from the neighborhood come to get what they need for their houses. We’ve been at this address in Chipitola for quite a while now. The street can get pretty noisy during the day with all the traffic and people walking by, but that’s just how it is in this part of Agra. Most mornings start early, usually unlocking the heavy shutters and sweeping the front a bit before the first customers show up looking for milk or bread. We try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves, from soaps and shampoos to different kinds of snacks and basic cooking stuff like oil and salt. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything, and sometimes the shelves look a bit messy when we get a big delivery in. People around here know us, and we know most of them too. It’s not like those big supermarkets where nobody talks to you. Here, we just have normal conversations about the weather or whatever is happening on the street while we bag up the items. The space is a bit cramped because we try to fit in as much stock as possible, so you have to watch your step sometimes. It’s just a simple life running a store in 282001, making sure we have the things people ask for every day.
