Vijay General Store & Garments

Vijay General Store & Garments is located in Chudi Market, over in Sultanpura. It is a busy part of Agra Cantt. We have been running this shop for some time now. It is a bit of a mix here because we sell both general household items and some clothes. You might find a stack of shirts next to some soap or buckets. It gets very crowded in this market, especially during the festival times when everyone is out shopping. The shop is tucked into the lanes where people usually come to look for bangles and things. We keep everyday wear like pants, shirts, and sometimes stuff for the kids. It’s not a fancy showroom, just a regular shop with stacks of boxes and hangers. We spend most of the day folding clothes and putting things back on the shelves after customers look through them. Agra gets quite hot, so we have a small fan that barely does the job, but we manage. People come in looking for a bargain or just something basic for their home. We know many of the faces who walk through the door because they have been coming here for years. It is just a simple business in a busy market street. We try to keep the prices fair so people keep coming back. Sultanpura has a lot of energy, and we are just one of the many shops trying to keep up with the daily rush. It is hard work but it feels good to be part of the Agra Cantt community.
