Our shop is LG-16 in Vinayak Mall, which is near the Deewani Crossing. Being in the lower ground floor means we stay a bit cooler in the summer, which is good because we deal with power products like batteries and inverters. These things are heavy and take up a lot of space. We have them stacked up against the walls in the back. People usually come to see us when their power goes out at home or they need a new battery for their vehicle. We spend a lot of time explaining how the different units work. We aren't salespeople; we’re more like technicians who happened to open a shop. The mall gets busy on weekends, but our customers usually come during the week when they have a specific problem to fix. The Deewani Crossing area is always crowded, so parking can be a bit of a headache for our visitors. We’ve got a small workbench in the back where we test the old batteries to see if they can still hold a charge. Often they’re just dead, and we have to tell the customer the bad news. We drink a lot of tea from the stall outside the mall entrance. It’s a straightforward business. We buy the stock, we sell it, and we help people install it if they live nearby. We’ve been in this mall since it was relatively new, so we know most shopkeepers.
