Tomar General Store

I've been here at Tomar General Store for a while now. We are right in the middle of Main Bazar in Runakta. It gets pretty loud out there sometimes with all the motorcycles and people walking by. I usually open up early before the sun gets too hot. Agra heat is no joke, as everyone knows. People come in for all sorts of things, maybe a pack of biscuits or some washing powder. I try to keep the shelves mostly full, but sometimes the delivery truck is late and we just have to wait. It’s a simple life. I know most of the people who walk through that door by their first name. We talk about the weather or how the crops are doing outside the city. My family helps out when things get busy in the evening. There is always something to do, like cleaning the glass jars or counting the small change in the drawer. Sometimes I sit on the stool outside and just watch the market move. It’s not a fancy place, just a normal shop for normal people. We have the usual stuff like soap, oil, and snacks. If someone needs something specific, I try to get it the next time I go to the bigger market. That’s just how it goes here in Runakta. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the shop and the items people need every day. The walls are a bit old and the ceiling fan makes a clicking noise, but it works.
