Taj Brush Industries

We are located right by the Baluganj Crossing, very close to Hotel Lavania Vilas. Taj Brush Industries is a small place where we make all kinds of brushes. If you walk around the Baluganj or Rakabganj area, you’ve probably passed us. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. Our workshop is filled with the smell of wood and bristles. We make brushes for painting, cleaning, and industrial use too. It is not a high-tech factory with robots; it’s mostly just people sitting at benches, putting things together by hand. We use simple tools and machines that have been here since we started. The crossing outside is always noisy with rickshaws and people, but inside we just focus on the task. We sell to local shops and sometimes to people who just wander in from the street. Our shelves are stacked with different sizes and shapes of brushes. It’s a bit dusty because of all the materials we use, but that’s part of the trade. We don’t spend money on advertising; we just rely on the fact that people know where we are and that our brushes don’t fall apart after one use. It’s a family-run sort of thing, and we take turns doing the different jobs, from cutting the handles to packing the boxes. Being near the hotel makes it easy for people to find us. We open up early and stay until the orders for the day are finished.
