About Swastik Daily Needs – Food & Beverages in Agra
The area around the LIC office in Rambagh gets pretty crowded during the day. Our shop at A-230 in Phase-1 of Transe Yamuna Colony is right in the middle of all that movement. We open up early because people in Agra like their tea and biscuits before they head to work. Swastik Daily Needs is just a small place, really. We have crates of milk stacked outside every morning before the sun is even fully up. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze with all the household stuff we try to fit in. We’ve got soaps, cleaning liquids, and all the kitchen basics piled up. The floor is old tile and it’s seen better days, but it holds up. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door, so we have to move the salt bags. It’s mostly just us chatting with the regulars who have lived in the colony for twenty years. We know who wants which brand of oil without them even asking. The billing machine acts up sometimes, and we have to do it by hand on a notepad. It keeps us busy. Between the heavy traffic near the office and the local kids running around, there's never really a quiet moment. We just keep the shelves filled and the lights on until late evening. It’s honest work and it keeps the kitchen running at home too.
