Swadesh General Store

We are located on the Rambagh Nunihai Link Road in Agra, right in the Main Market. Swadesh General Store is basically the place where you go when you need something quickly for your kitchen or your kids' school. It is a very busy road, so there is always plenty of noise and dust from the trucks and rickshaws passing by. We spend a good part of every single day just wiping down the glass counters. The store has been in this spot for a long time and we know most of the people who stop in regularly. It is a small space, filled up with big rice bags and different types of snacks. 282001 is the pin code, and this whole area stays active until very late at night. We don’t have any big corporate rules or handbooks here. It is just us running the place and making sure the stocks are okay for the morning. Sometimes the delivery guy is late and we have to tell our regular customers to come back tomorrow for their stuff. It is just honest work. We have all the usual things, from boxes of spices to school notebooks. The lighting inside isn't the best in the world, but it gets the job done for us. You can find us easily because we are right on the main path. Most days are just about managing the crowd and keeping track of the loose change.
