Sonu General Store

Sonu General Store is right here in Puspanjali Bagh, within the Dayal Bagh area of Agra. We have been part of this neighborhood for a good many years now. It’s a typical general store where we try to keep a little bit of everything on the shelves. Whether you need some washing powder, a packet of biscuits, or just some basic spices for dinner, we usually have it tucked away somewhere. The shop is not very large, so we have to stack things pretty high to fit it all in. I mostly handle the customers myself, though my brother stops by to help when it gets busy in the late afternoon. We don’t go in for any of that modern marketing; we just rely on the people living around us knowing we are here. Agra can be a very hectic city, but our little corner in Puspanjali Bagh stays relatively calm. We make sure to open the doors early in the morning for those who need things before work. We still use a simple notebook to keep track of what the regulars owe us, which is how it’s been done since we started. It’s a lot of daily chores, like dusting the bottles and checking the expiry dates, but it keeps us occupied. We just want to be the place where neighbors can find their daily needs without any hassle. It's just a regular shop run by regular people.
